The Japanese Could Teach us a Thing or Two
In his Op-ed, Kristof points out the collaborative culture of Japan after the recent quake. There is absolutely not stealing of any kind, and people are selflessly devoted to their duty of helping shut down the nuclear reactors.
Its interesting the cultural differences between Japan and the United States. The former, stays committed to duty even in times of extreme hardship. How would the US react? After Katrina, stores were looted as people starved for food and shelter. Why isn't this happening in Japan?

Men don't settle down, they surrender!
Happy valentines day, to everyone!
Chris Rock begins this video by pointing out how its almost de rigueur that men prefer waiting to settle, while women are ready earlier. In fact, Chris jokes, men don't settle: they just end up surrendering!
This is a actually very sweet video. Through his cynical, affectionate, and of course, slightly crude humor, he conveys how in the long-run (not necessarily in the immediate), we all want to be with someone.

Mrs Meyers
Mrs Meyers has incredible power over me. I realized it was an issue when I didn't want to stop cleaning surfaces while using the Basil counterspray because the smell was so lovely. Nevertheless, this was easily resolved by purchasing the Geranium candle!
Basically their cleaning products smell amazing, because they use earth friendly plant-derived oils, instead of harsh chemicals. You can find it in many stores, and for sure at Whole Foods, World Market, and Greater Goods on U St.
