The Japanese Could Teach us a Thing or Two
In his Op-ed, Kristof points out the collaborative culture of Japan after the recent quake. There is absolutely not stealing of any kind, and people are selflessly devoted to their duty of helping shut down the nuclear reactors.
Its interesting the cultural differences between Japan and the United States. The former, stays committed to duty even in times of extreme hardship. How would the US react? After Katrina, stores were looted as people starved for food and shelter. Why isn't this happening in Japan?
