Blogging for balance

tagirov.deviantart.com
My colleague J and I spent the morning discussing the importance of work-life balance (we are lucky enough to have a bit of life at work!).  Somehow, we got to discussing the variations in work-life balance preferences, across cultures and countries.

While some prefer the lucrative Rolex, Benz, and other fruits of an 80-hour work week, others enjoy more simple pleasures like, baguettes and coffee.  What drives certain individuals or communities toward the incomes that gift such luxury?  ...and for those of us who are members of a results driven society but are happily content with simplicities, how do we not get caught up in the materialistic maelstrom?

This blog for those who enjoy baguettes and coffee.  Or for those like myself, who get caught up in the whirlwind, but seek to slow-down, sip, and enjoy the good cup sitting right in front of us
